The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Akuapem North Constituency has announced the sudden death of its Constituency Secretary, Isaac Basta Hamillin.
According to an official communiqué issued by the constituency chairman, Daniel Kofi Awere on Monday, May 18, 2026, the late Isaac Basta Hamillin was found dead at a hotel in Amanokrom.
The statement indicated that the deceased had been actively working on the registration of branch nominations as part of the ongoing party reorganization exercises. Because he resides in Accra, he had lodged at a hotel in Amanokrom, a location known to the Constituency Chairman and other executives.
He was at the party office on Sunday evening actively carrying out his duties. However, when the Constituency Chairman, Daniel Kofi Awere, attempted to reach him on Monday morning to continue the registration exercise, all efforts proved unsuccessful.
The executives later traced his location to the hotel, only to be met with the heartbreaking news that he had sadly passed away peacefully in his sleep.
The Akropong Constituency expressed deep sorrow over the passing of its hardworking secretary and extended its heartfelt condolences to his wife, family, loved ones, and the entire NDC fraternity.
