Dennis Miracles Aboagye has rejected claims linking him to a GH¢55 million allegation following his arrest by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), insisting that the truth will eventually emerge.
The NPP Communications Director hopeful, in a statement on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, after his release on bail, said EOCO did not discuss any GH¢55 million matter with him.
“There was no discussion of any GH¢55 million cedis with me by EOCO. None!!!” he stated.
Mr Aboagye said a false narrative had been created around his arrest but expressed confidence that the facts would prevail.
“The facts and the truth, will prevail!!” he said.
He was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport by EOCO on July 12, 2026, after arriving from a foreign trip.
The arrest followed his announcement of his intention to contest for the position of National Communications Director of the NPP.
In a statement following his arrest, EOCO said Miracles Aboagye and a former accountant of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD), were being investigated for alleged financial and procurement irregularities involving about GH¢55 million in public funds.
EOCO further revealed that the former accountant, Gerald Appiah, had already started refunding some of the alleged loot ahead of possibly being charged.
