Ghana’s Black Stars have been drawn into a tough Group L for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face European powerhouses England and Croatia, alongside CONCACAF side Panama.
The draw, conducted on Friday, December 5, 2025, in Washington D.C., placed the four-time African champions in a challenging group as they return to the global stage after qualifying comfortably from the CAF section.
England, ranked among the tournament favourites, and Croatia, who reached the 2018 final and 2022 semi-finals, represent significant hurdles for Otto Addo’s side. Panama, making their second World Cup appearance after 2018, will provide stern CONCACAF opposition.
The expanded 48-team format sees the top two from each of the 12 groups, plus the eight best third-placed teams, advance to the round of 32.
The tournament kicks off on June 11, 2026, across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
