A Form Three Business student and Acting Boys’ Prefect of the Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi, has reportedly died after falling from the top floor of the school’s administration block on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
The tragic incident according to a report by Myjoyonline, occurred during school hours, with students and staff rushing to the scene after hearing the impact.
Abass was immediately rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body of the deceased was later released to the family and buried the same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
Close associates, including family members and some students, revealed that Abass had in recent times made statements suggesting he was contemplating suicide.
However, these remarks were reportedly taken as jokes and not treated with the seriousness they deserved.
Sources within the school indicated that the administration was not aware of any suicidal tendencies on the part of the student prior to the incident.
