The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Bank of Ghana (BoG), on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, arrested 41 persons during a major operation targeting illegal foreign exchange trading, popularly known as black market forex, in parts of Accra. A South Korean court has sentenced a woman in her 20s to four years in prison for blackmailing South Korea and former Tottenham football icon Son Heung-min by falsely claiming she was pregnant with his child. Burkina Faso has detained eleven Nigerian military officers after a Nigerian Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft made an unscheduled landing in Bobo-Dioulasso on Monday, following what Burkinabè authorities described as an unauthorised entry into its airspace. The Ghana Police Service says the American woman, Arianna Naomi Mackey, who went viral accusing five masked men purporting to be police officers of kidnapping and robbing her in Accra, has left the country and is refusing to cooperate with investigations.
