The High Court in Accra has confirmed that there is no record of a last will and testament for the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, in the registry of the Probate and Administration Division.
This revelation came to light through an official search conducted as part of the ongoing legal proceedings to administer the musician’s estate.
The search was initiated to ascertain whether Daddy Lumba had deposited a will with the court, including details such as the date of filing, the individual who submitted it, and the lawyer responsible for its preparation.
However, in a response dated January 19, 2026, at 2:37 pm, the registry stated that no such document exists in their records.
The official court document, duly signed and stamped by the Registrar of the Probate and Administration Division, explicitly noted the absence of any will filed by the late artist.
With no recorded will on file, the administration of Daddy Lumba’s estate is likely to proceed under Ghana’s intestate succession laws, barring the emergence of a valid will from an alternative source.
This development introduces additional complexities for the family and legal team managing the affairs of the iconic musician.
