Ghanaian Influencer, Mona Montrage, widely known as Hajia4Real, has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison following her guilty plea to internet fraud charges. The social media influencer and musician was arrested in the UK in October 2022 and extradited to the United States.  Montrage was implicated in a sophisticated romance scam operation that defrauded multiple victims of over $2 million. She used fake identities to establish online relationships, convincing victims to transfer large sums of money. Mona will be deported to Ghana after serving the jail term in the United States.
