Team Ghana endured a very woeful first day at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. Australia topped the medal charts after day 1 with an impressive 8 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 4 bronze medals, making a total of 16 medals. The 22nd edition of the Commonwealth games will commence this evening, with the opening ceremony set to be held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, England. The multi-sport event will be participated by members of the Commonwealth and will run from July 28 to August 8, 2022. Ghana will be making her 16th appearance at the games, after making her first ever appearance in 1954. Ghana Premier League Champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed the team will be having it’s preseason tour in Turkey, the club announced on Monday morning. The Porcupine Warriors are without a coach after their title winning coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum resigned as head coach some days ago. The club will once again be preparing for the upcoming season faraway from home after having their last preseason tour in Dubai. Management is yet to announce who will be in charge of the team temporarily for their preseason until a substantive coach is appointed.
