Yvonne Adobea becomes the feminine figure to write history in student politics as she has been declared the SRC President-Elect of the 2023-2024 academic year by the Electoral Commission of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), which makes her the first female SRC President of the school. The National Service Scheme has secured the government’s approval for an increment in allowances paid to personnel from GH₵ 559.04 to GH₵ 715.57, effective January 2023. The approval reached the secretariat on July 18, following a letter signed by the Deputy Finance Minister, Hon. Abena Osei Asare.
