The Forestry Commission has strongly condemned a violent attack on its personnel and the destruction of a newly constructed accommodation facility at a timber checkpoint in Babatokuma near Kintampo in the Bono East Region. Police have commenced interrogations of staff who worked two separate shifts at the Salaga Municipal Hospital following the mysterious disappearance of a newborn baby from the facility. Most Ghanaians continue to approve of President John Mahama’s job performance even as public satisfaction has slipped, according to a new nationwide poll released on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA).
